The battle may be won...but you've still gotta be sexy
Not to get all political, but I do have a background in Gender Studies and sometimes I can't help but share bits of ridiculousness. I bite my tongue when it comes to Cosmopolitan magazine, Seventeen magazine (ok, maybe I don't always bite my tongue when it comes to that one), and most mainstream media. But it really perturbs me to find a photo like this in a conservative newspaper in a conservative but somewhat enlightened city like Saskatoon.
It just goes to show, we may not need quotas on public boards because if you're a woman and you're smart enough (read: smart enough to know you've got to be both smart AND sexy) then you'll be elected anyways.
